Come along and enjoy an exciting visit, handling, feeding, and flying our birds of prey. Nothing can compare to the thrill of one of these magnificent creatures landing on your gloved hand!

What's Included.

Experience: 11:00 am – 2pm.
On your day, you will be one of four people, giving you a more personal and friendly experience.
On your arrival you can look forward to a very a warm welcome from Kevin the falconer, who has a wealth of knowledge and experience.
Kevin and his team will give you a fun and informative introduction to a variety of birds including Hawks, Falcons, Owls, and our magnificent Chillian Blue Eagle.
You will have hands on from the outset as you are introduced to each of the birds.
Once you have met our team of bird’s, you get to choose which one you would like to carry on the bird walk part of your experience, with the famous Shibden Valley as your back drop. Walking in the historical footsteps of Anne Lister this will give you lots of opportunities for photographs with the birds and the beautiful surrounding countryside.
After a short refreshment break of Tea/Coffee, biscuits and homemade scones and jam (Warm mince pies Nov-Dec in-front of a roaring farmhouse kitchen fire), after which it is back into the field to fly a selection of birds to your gloved fist. To finish off your memorable day.

This Briefing Note applies to guests at Shibden Valley Falconry and to the public at offsite displays and schools. Its content must be given at the commencement of all experience days, displays and school visits for the health and safety of guests, school children, and also for the welfare of the raptors.
